Mariana Shuk is a graduated artist from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá 1997), with a masters degree in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery, from the Royal Collage of Art (London 2002-2004).

She has participated in collective shows such as “THINK TWICE, Latin-American Jewellery” at MAD, Design Museum of New York (2010), “WORK IN PROGRESS” at the Gulbenkian Gallery and “THE SHOW 2004” at the Henry Moore Gallery, (London), “XII SMS SILVER ART EXHIBITION” at Gallery Sztuki Legnicy (Poland 2003), “101 RINGS” at SOFA New York, “AM FEUER” Orea Gallery, (Berlín 2000) “DRESSING-UP THE MUSEUM” at Contemporary Art Museum (Bogotá), “THE EMPEROR´S NEW CLOTHES” and “ENTRECASA” at the Santa Fé Gallery at the Planetarium in Bogotá.

In August 2006 she did an individual show “OBJECT:FINE INVENTION” within the architecture and design cycle of the French Alliance in Bogotá.

She has participated in design shows abroad such as New Designers (London 2004) y What´s Next (Paris 2005) with the design agency Beyond the Valley (London 2006) and other local fairs such as Expodiseño and Expoartesanías (Bogotá).

Actually Mariana is living in Bogotá where she enjoys designing, making and selling her work to her growing clientele at her jewellery-boutique SHUK. She is also teaching jewellery courses at Universidad de los Andes.
